Ok for the longest time now i keep randomly getting signed out of msn/ loosing my internet connection. It has never happend to me while im on quake or anything like that... just when im on msn or xfire. Usually it happens shortly after i get a message saying " your local area network has been unplugged" but i check all my cords and they are fine.
I click troubleshoot in msn and it says "Your DNS appears unable to reslove IP addresses" Sometimes msn can fix this and other times i just have to restart my computer.

I would try updating any anti spyware and anti virus programs you might have and run them to see if it keeps happening if not besides rebooting your computer you can go to start > run then type in cmd then enter then in that black screen type ipconfig /release then press enter then type ipconfig /renew then press enter. then type ipconfig to see if you got an ip if it shows up as 169.257.X.X something like that mainly the 169 is what you look for if it does that, that means you wont be able to get on the internet. also another thing to do will be unplugging your modem cable and then waiting 30 seconds then plugging it back in. also if you have alot of icons on your right side where your clock is you might want to click start > run then type in msconfig then press enter after that click the services tab and uncheck any unwanted stuff if it looks like this 126176 you want to uncheck that but if it says crss or something like that or system keep those uncheck anything like realplayer msn quick time stuff like that you can uncheck I wouldn't uncheck your norton or mcaffee whatever firewall or anti virus programs you use. and thats pretty much will help your problem but it sounds like there is too much bandwidth being used on your connection. so like running msn xfire quake and another online game and downloading or uploading mainly kazaa or limewire stuff like that will use most of the bandwidth and will eventually kick you out of the internet for lagging too much.
